Samsung S8300 - 8Megapixel slider with Ultra Touch

Samsung has recently confirmed the existence of the Ultra Touch S8300 mobile phone, an uber-handset that packs multimedia features that would make any UMPC jealous.Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 features support for HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE/GPRS connectivity, a 2.8 inches AMOLED WQVGA touchscreen display and an 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash, autofocus, face and smile detection, plus geotagging.
There’s also DivX and XviD support on the specs list, plus the option of recording 30 fps VGA video with the aid of the above-mentioned camera. S8300 packs FM radio with RDS, an audio player (MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA compatible), Bluetooth A2DP, AGPS and 80 MB of internal memory. The latter can be upgraded with the aid of microSDHC cards of up to 16 GB.All these mentioned are packed into a shell measuring no more than 12.7mm thick. Samsung called this device Ultra Touch S8300, earning itself an official announcement ahead of MWC — and as long as a real Smartphone OS isn’t on your shopping list, this 7.2Mbps HSDPA monster should fit the bill.
